"The Art of The Table" presented by Gumps. This is a preview and benefit for DIFFA's "Dining By Design Table Top" to be held at the San Francisco Design Center on Wednesday, November 18th 2009. DIFFA stands for Design Industries Foundation Fighting Aids. There were four top designers asked to design a vignette of table tops. Martha Angus, Orlando Diaz-Azcuy, Ken Fulk and Claudia Juestel. This wonderful opening night was Thursday October 22nd. It was a great night that was over flowing with 450 people attending the event. There was also a panel discussion with the four designers answering questions led by Diane Dorrans Saeks of the blog The Style Saloniste. It really was such a fun and exciting night.
Of course the star for us was the table designed by Martha Angus. Her table was called "NtRain" and it was just so beautiful and sparkling fun! It had a mirrored dining table with etchings from Sarlo. The Gustavian and Loius XVI chairs were upholstered in Pink and orange and were from Therien. Double rugs were from Ikea, light fixture from Aargon Neon, china on the table is by Alberto Pinto, silver is Puifocrat, and the crystal is by Saint Louis.
Of course, if any one was wondering where Cassandra was while Melissa and I were at High Point, now you know. She was just a little busy helping Martha with this wonderful event and another show house "The Millennium" that opened the next night October 23rd 2009. We will be posting on that event next. We of course missed her dearly, but what exciting experiences Martha is showing Cassandra in the design world.
