How beautiful are these outdoor settings?  We are looking forward to some outdoor time this weekend in the garden, but boy it would be nice to relax in one of these outdoor areas after all that digging. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Design tags

What a fun way to display fabric. We might start using this with our inspiration boards. The fabric name and color-way and all important information that can be written on the back, saving hours of research. Also, if extra fabric is hanging around, it is a great way to display it. It is a creative way to keep fabric organized for projects...the upholsterer will appreciate your organization.

Carrier and Company

Although many of these interiors have been featured throughout the blogland, we are so intrigued and excited whenever we see the interiors done by Carrier and Company.  Their use of contemporary designs coupled with traditional elements makes for a unique design esthetic. We love their rooms with neutral colors as well as the ones with pops of color. The Vogue office with the natural woods and colors is one that always catches my eye...but then again how could it not?

Pretty in Pink

Pretty in pink. Who does not look lovely in the color? Especially the soft petal of a spring peony looks so pretty in the color. All week we have ben searching for images with this wonderful color. This is the time of year that the soft petal pink lipsticks are pulled out or are on the radar to buy. With a tan it is almost all you need, a slpash of pink and you are all set. These interiors are like this as well, just a splash and the room is dressed and ready to go.

The Light on Martha's Vineyard

How excited were we when we saw the June issue of Elle Decor. First we want to give a huge shout out to the ever talented Grant Gibson for making the best Five list of Elle Decor. Grant is a number one designer and we are so happy for him. Now on to our next favorite thing in Elle Decor is Meg Ryans beautiful house in Chappaquiddick on Martha"s Vineyard. It is a elegant clean lined home that the actress her self hand picked every aspect of, chandeliers, flooring, the beautiful tub. She toured other homes on the Vineyard for inspiration and is always tearing images from magazines. The light on the Vineyard is the most beautiful ever and Meg is infatuated with it. The home plays this up with the open air feeling the house has. She keep the rustic feel of the old camp with the exposed beams. What a heavenly home to get away from it all.

Spanx Bathing Suits

Did you know that Spanx had bathing suits? I was talking to a friend the other day and they informed me that Spanx now has bathing suits that hold you in and make you looked more slimmed down.  With the warm weather in New Orleans and summer approaching, I might have to get myself one of these.  My favorite is the one shoulder black with white ruffle...however, I really wish they wouldn't use models who don't need a Spanx bathing suit. These pictures give me no indication as to how the bathing suit will look on someone who isn't a size 0 and weighs 105. None the less, I think I will be picking one of these babies up before I hit the beach!
